'''Re: PCC Response to New Afrikan People's Convention'''

'''To: RNA Citizens (Public Release)'''

During a People's Center Council (PCC) Executive Session on 28 December 2023, consensus was reached in the matter of responding to a New Afrikan People's Convention planned for the weekend of 29-31 December 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana, at 3101 Erato Street.

Initially, an email message distributed on 27 November 2023 by Krystal Muhammad was entitled "PGRNA PEOPLES CONVENTION 2023" and included "pgrnaconvention2023.com" as the registration web site. The PCC finds these uses of "pgrna" as not only misleading but deceptive, as well — because it projects the false impression that this convention is somehow connected to or endorsed by the Provisional Government – Republic of New Afrika (PG-RNA).

With this Public Release Communique, the PCC states clearly and emphatically that the planned convention is neither connected to nor endorsed by the PG-RNA. We seek to end the confusion that convention organizers have caused; challenge the misrepresentation convention organizers have undertaken; and combat the mistaken ideas convention organizers have already spread.

RNA citizens should be aware that the Republic of New Afrika constitution (Code of Umoja) has guidelines for People's Conventions in the framework and structure of the PG-RNA. Convention organizers have chosen not to act within these established channels of New Afrikan Law. We
must distance ourselves from such potentially harmful behavior and maintain the sense of integrity this government has labored to uphold since its founding on 31 March 1968.

Convention organizers, of course, have a right to peacefully gather for their own purposes and objectives. International Law sets the standard for this freedom of assembly — which we duly recognize and respect. Consequently, any decrees, declarations, or documents that emerge from the planned convention have no binding force or effect on the PG-RNA.

Lastly, the PG-RNA remains open to the legitimate questions, critiques, and concerns of those who are willing to work within its structure and who actively support the state-building mission of formations in the New Afrikan Independence Movement (NAIM).
