Link to authority control
We don't generally include links to internal Wikipedia pages in article space. From Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking, "Template:Green" However we are linking Help:Authority control in this template. Would it be better to link to Authority control instead, or alternatively remove the link? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:22, 16 December 2025 (UTC)

- I don't think the link should be removed or changed to Authority control. It's outside the article body, and the link provides relevant information to readers. Proposed merge of Help:Authority control to Wikipedia:Authority control (or the other way around)
Help:Authority control is a "reader-focused" help page, but the information that would be useful for readers can easily be explained in the lead of Wikipedia:Authority control. Proposed merge of categories
We now get very few pages in Category:Pages using authority control with unknown parameters so I am proposing to merge it into Category:Pages with authority control identifiers needing attention, perhaps sorting under "U" for unknown.
