Omo N'Oba Erediauwa or Oba Erediauwa was born on June 22, 1923 in Benin City, Nigeria. his name at birth was Solomon Igbinoghodua Aisiokuoba Akenzua. He is the the successor and son of the late Oba Akenzua II. At the death of his father in 1978, Erediauwa ascended the throne with the title of Oba. Before his Reign, he was educated at many schools and was a student at Cambridge University London. He was an author and writer. Erediauwa also served as a cadet administrative officer under the colonial government and a member of the cabinet office of the first independence government. He is a strong advocate of peace and co-existance.
Erediauwa published an autobiography of his life called "I Remain, Sir, Your Obedient Servant". It details his student days, his years of experience in the civil service, his Biafran war experiences, his accession to the throne of Benin, rise to kingship and subsequent tours and experiences.
